The Phoenix Polar Bears traveled to El Paso Texas to face the El Paso Rhinos in the WSHL Championship Series.
 
On Friday night Phoenix defeated El Paso 4-1 in a well played game by Phoenix.
 
On Saturday night, El Paso jumped out to a 2-0 lead which Phoenix chipped away
at during the second period to end the period 2-2.  Phoenix scored early in the third period

and never looked back, ending the game with a 5-2 margin. 

 
Both games were well played by both teams.

Phoenix Polar Bears take home the WSHL Championship Thorne Cup.  Both teams
advance to the USA Hockey Jr A National Championship in Marlborough MA March
27-31.
